Area Sales Executive

Overview

A leading independent provider of forklifts and materials handling solutions is seeking an experienced Area Sales Executive to join their expanding sales team.

With over 40 years of success supplying, hiring, and maintaining industrial equipment nationwide, this business is entering a strong new phase of growth and innovation across the UK market.

The Role

This is a field-based position responsible for driving sales of:

• New and used forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Long- and short-term hire contracts
• Maintenance, service, and operator training packages

You will manage your own territory, developing both new and existing customer relationships while representing a trusted and established industry name.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business and manage key accounts
• Conduct client visits and site surveys to assess requirements
• Prepare and deliver professional proposals and quotations
• Negotiate and close sales agreements
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Liaise with internal service and technical teams

Candidate Profile

• Proven B2B field sales experience, ideally within forklifts, plant, or heavy equipment
• Confident communicator with strong commercial skills
• Self-motivated and target-driven
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Full UK driving licence required

• Uncapped commission - realistic OTE £90,000+
