Area Sales Director, Hospice
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an Area Sales Director to support our Vermont and New Hampshire Hospice Marketing team. The ASD will develop and implement strategies to grow hospice revenue and admissions. The role supervises Marketing Managers responsible for referral source engagement and customer relationship growth.
Territory:
- VT / NH (Candidates must be able to travel regularly throughout the territory)
Qualifications:

- Four-year college degree.
- At least three years of hospice healthcare sales and marketing experience preferred.
- Experience leading and training sales teams through referral and admission processes.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven success in sales training, mentoring, and strategic marketing with positive growth outcomes.
- Track record of sales growth and quota attainment.
- Ability to present multiple homecare service lines.
- Experience in hiring qualified sales personnel.
- Positive team attitude, adaptable, and able to multitask.
- Creative and hands-on approach.
- Proficient in using sales reports and field communication for strategic planning and customer presentations.
- Knowledge of hospice regulations, reimbursement, and payor mix.
- Strong leadership, strategic insight, and judgment.
- Intermediate PC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness to travel within the territory; residence within the territory preferred.
Responsibilities:

- Meet growth targets for admissions and revenue.
- Hire, train, and evaluate Marketing Managers.
- Guide sales strategies to increase referrals and market share, supervising the sales team and coordinating with the Regional Sales Director.
- Analyze sales strategies to boost referrals and market presence.
- Conduct market research, including competitive analysis and demographic studies.
- Develop sales training programs and materials.
- Perform ride-along sales calls and business development activities.
- Hold regular 1-on-1s and field ride-alongs with Marketing Managers.
- Develop and communicate account management strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, focusing on qualitative and quantitative results.
- Target and qualify accounts with tailored messaging strategies.
- Identify niche opportunities based on market needs.
- Maintain community presence and engagement.
- Utilize marketing tools and external resources for idea generation.
- Track marketing activities and contacts systematically.
- Provide reports to the Regional Sales Director.
- Exceed performance standards as per appraisal criteria.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation:
- $115,000 - $120,000 annually, plus quarterly incentives.
