Amazon is seeking Area Managers for our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world, distributing millions of products each year to our loyal customers.
Key focus areas include safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department:
- Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
- Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shifts while meeting goals.
- Support safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
Supervisory Responsibilities: You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for fulfilling customer orders, ensuring proper training, and addressing their needs to enable focus on their jobs. An essential part of your role is to lead change swiftly, leveraging innovation that has made us a global leader.
Additional Job Elements:
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Frequent walking in the FC, which can be over a quarter mile in length.
- Continual standing and/or walking.
- Ability to work in noisy, unlit, non-air-conditioned environments.
- Access all areas of the building safely.
Skills Required:
- Management experience with employee performance.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts.
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
