Job Description
Overview

Office cleaning, commercial cleaning and deep cleaning in: Leamington Spa, Warwick, Coventry, Rugby, Southam, Banbury, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Here we have an exciting opportunity to undertake the role of Area Manager for Goldcrest Cleaning Limited in the Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa (and surrounding areas).

Role details

Current contracts: 40 across various sectors including education. Place of work: Home-based, with requirement to travel to Head Office (Warwick) as required. Geography covered: Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa and surrounding areas. The area is a key strategic geography with plans to expand the business and acquire new customers over the coming months and years. The portfolio includes 40 contracts across sectors including education (schools) as well as offices and commercial premises of various sizes. Contracts support 35 cleaning staff, with many undertaken prior to or after standard 9am-5pm hours. The position is currently for 23 hours per week, reviewed regularly against area growth and KPIs."

Responsibilities
  • Manage all elements of the contract including contract/service delivery to a high standard
  • Conduct site audits, stock ordering, client liaison, and manage staff absence, performance, and disciplinary issues
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance and support recruitment activities
  • Be part of a five-strong Area Management team reporting to the Senior Area Manager; participate in monthly meetings reviewing contracts and individual performance
  • Share best practices with colleagues and contribute to quarterly Area Management meetings for updates, training and compliance requirements
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Committed, knowledgeable, reliable and experienced; preferably with experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and 14001
  • Experience with managing a team and delivering contract/service excellence
  • Own transport is essential; ideally living in East Birmingham or Coventry area
  • Enhanced DBS required with ability to supply appropriate ID and 2 references
  • Part-time, permanent role; 23 hours per week; pay £15.60 per hour
