Job Description

As part of LVMH / Moët Hennessy, The Glenmorangie Company crafts, distributes, and markets two of Scotland's most acclaimed single malt whiskies. Glenmorangie is renowned as the leading Highland single malt, celebrated for its smooth, complex, and accessible taste, mastery of wood in cask maturation, and industry-leading whisky innovation. Ardbeg is the ultimate Islay whisky, known for being the smokiest of Scotland's Single Malts, and for its unorthodox, envied, and untamed brand.

Ardbeg House on the beautiful Scottish island of Islay is seeking a dedicated Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee all food and beverage operations within the House, ensuring a luxury guest experience aligned with the brand. The role involves coaching and mentoring teams to improve performance and brand engagement, and ensuring all guests have an exceptional experience. The supervisor will also be responsible for meeting budgetary revenue targets and controlling costs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as an ambassador for the Ardbeg brand with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Support and assist other operational teams as needed.
  • Educate guests about local attractions and handle booking requests.
  • Lead meal service to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage customer flow to meet service and revenue goals.
  • Ensure tastings are conducted to the highest standards and maximize upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products and services to support team members.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel and Communications teams to plan VIP and special events.
  • Take operational responsibility for food and beverage delivery during events.
  • Train team members on company standards, hotel operations, and job duties.
  • Ensure completion of checklists for shift openings and closings.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures for Ardbeg House.
Profile

Professional/Technical Experience:

  • Experience in busy operational environments.
  • Luxury hospitality experience.
  • Attention to detail and precision in operations.
  • High-level customer service skills.
  • Experience in telephone sales.
  • Ability to manage diverse situations, from paying customers to VIPs, simultaneously.
  • Good sense of humor, reflecting the brand's tone of voice.
  • Effective team management skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to connect easily with people.
