Requirements
  • 2 years of industry experience working as an architectural technologist, architectural technician or technically biased architect.
  • Architectural Technology degree or equivalent (UK recognised).
  • Sound understanding of Building Regulations and current construction legislation.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects, preferably with schools, industrial or residential experience.
  • Experience in all phases of the design process, from conceptualisation to construction including site oversight.
  • Experience and confidence of operating within a client facing role.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
  • Motivation to work as part of a team and to manage own time and workload.
  • Excellent written and spoken English essential.
  • Archicad experience beneficial but not essential as CAD / BIM support and training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams across various sectors.
  • Review, produce, and coordinate high-quality technical design information across all RIBA Work Stages.
  • Conduct site visits and act as a key representative of the practice.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Apply a practical, problem solving approach to complex design challenges.
  • Travel to project sites across the UK as required.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
