Architectural Technician

Are you an experienced Architectural Technician looking for an opportunity to work on bespoke residential projects where you can combine technical expertise with creative design? We're working with a growing residential design and construction business specialising in high-quality home extensions, renovations and bespoke living spaces.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied range of projects, collaborating with design, interior design, estimating and construction teams from initial concept through to completion.

Main responsibilities (Full Job Spec on request)

• Produce and update AutoCAD drawings for planning, tendering and construction.
• Create 3D models and visuals of houses, extensions, kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor spaces.
• Meet clients, record their requirements and obtain approval on key design decisions.
• Coordinate drawings with our design, estimating, interiors and construction teams.
• Carry out site surveys, take measurements and help resolve technical issues.
• Specify materials and finishes, keeping drawings accurate and compliant with building regulations and planning requirements.

Experience and skills required

• At least four years' experience in residential architectural design or a similar technical role.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to produce complete drawing packages independently.
• Strong skills in at least one 3D modelling program: SketchUp, Revit or ArchiCAD.
• A good understanding of residential construction and technical detailing.
• Good communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects.
• Fluent English and the ability to commute reliably to our Cork office. Own transport is preferred.
• Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion or Twinmotion would be an advantage.
