DescriptionWe are keen to support students and have places available for RIBA Part 1 qualified individuals seeking a 1-year placement. The individual will be have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, working as part of a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious, dynamic, motivated and creative individual, who is looking for a challenging and rewarding experience. Successful candidates will have an interest in traditional and/or classical design, and an eye for detail.
Key Competencies- Good drawing and presentation skills, attention to detail is key.
- Strong design ability.
- Awareness of building technologies and environmental design.
- Awareness of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health and safety requirements.
- Well organised, with good time management skills; proficient at working on a varied portfolio of work and meeting all deadlines.
- Good people skills, comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within the UK.
- Skilled at hand drawing and sketching
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of 3D Modelling Software (Rhino, Blender, 3DS Max)
- Awareness of Archicad (Training provided, principal drafting software)
- ADAM Future Group (early career staff members meet regularly for presentations, workshops and after-hours outings to exhibitions or cultural events)
