Arabic Linguist About the Role

Culmen International is seeking an Arabic Linguist to work in London to support our mission. This position does require the candidate to work onsite.

What You'll Do in Your New Role

• Translation and Interpretation: Convert written and spoken content between Arabic and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.

• Cultural Sensitivity: Understand and convey cultural nuances in translations to facilitate effective communication.

• Research: Conduct research in Arabic to support translation efforts and enhance understanding of context.

• Editing and Proofreading: Review translations for accuracy, grammar, and style, making necessary adjustments to improve clarity and coherence.

• Cross- Cultural Communication: Assist in bridging communication gaps between Arabic-speaking individuals and English speakers in various settings, including business and government agencies.

Required Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and strong command of English, with the ability to translate complex concepts accurately.
• Cultural Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Arabic culture and customs to ensure culturally appropriate translations.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to ensure precision in translations and interpretations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively.
• Experience: Previous experience in translation, interpretation, or linguistics is often preferred, along with relevant educational qualifications in linguistics or a related field.
