The Apprenticeship Programme Officer will play a key role in delivering the Council's apprenticeship agenda and supporting wider workforce development priorities. Working closely with the Talent and Career Development Manager, you will help ensure apprenticeships are used effectively to develop talent, address skills needs and create meaningful career opportunities for residents and employees. A key focus of this role is increasing access to apprenticeships for residents with learning disabilities and autism. You will work with internal services, schools, training providers and external partners to strengthen referral pathways and create supported apprenticeship opportunities. The role combines programme coordination, stakeholder engagement and performance monitoring. You will support the management of apprenticeship funding, maintain accurate data and reporting, monitor training provider performance and ensure programmes are delivered in line with apprenticeship funding rules and organisational requirements.

You will be an excellent relationship builder, with the ability to work collaboratively with managers, schools, training providers and a wide range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable influencing and inspiring others, providing advice and guidance, and driving activity to achieve positive outcomes.
