Apprentice - Electromechanical Fitter

As a Proseal Apprentice, you will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties and training which will deliver an academic qualification as well as the opportunity to develop your practical skills, thereby enabling you to work competently in one of the many technical departments of the business. You will initially work closely and under the guidance of colleagues from the Training Department and will be studying with one of our learning partners in order to achieve the required qualifications of the chosen apprenticeship.You will be encouraged to continue to develop your practical skills and knowledge through on-the-job training, further education and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities. Key responsibilities: Fitting and assembly skills including the use of power tools, hand tools and marking out. Attendance at college on a day release basis leading to recognised NVQ qualifications over a three-year period. Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Training Manager that will contribute to the requisite levels of performance and competence. Continuous improvements in the processes and service we offer To undertake any other duties required by management to meet the needs of the business You must understand and carry out Health and Safety requirements. You will ensure all college work, log books etc. are kept up to date, in accordance with the apprenticeship requirements and are regularly checked by the Supervisor The role of an Apprentice carries with it a certain level of responsibility. To that end, you must present a strong image of the company at all times.Ability to work as part of a team Good Communication skills Qualifications/ Experience: You will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, with good communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with customersYou must be flexible to working hours and location as you may be required to work away from home providing all safety and qualifying conditions are met.
