Applications Manager

Applications Manager / Senior Applications Engineer - Location: Chicago, IL; Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000; Employment Type: Full-Time. Industry: CNC Machine Tools. Applications Manager / Senior Applications Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of machine tools.

• Oversee the applications team, managing projects, schedules, and resources to ensure technical initiatives are completed on time.
• Develop and write machine programs and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixturing, and workflow, to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Provide hands-on technical support and programming expertise to clients and partners, solving complex production challenges.
• Design and deliver training sessions that teach programming techniques, advanced manufacturing practices, and product knowledge to internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate customer needs, develop customized machine programs and turnkey solutions, and support business growth.

• Prior experience with both G code and M code.
• Proficient using CAD/CAM software, ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk or AutoCAD (CAD) and Siemens NX or Mastercam (CAM).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
• Extensive experience working in the machine tool industry.
• Prior experience using Siemens controls.
