Job Description

We're on the lookout for an Applications Analyst with strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in Workday Financial Management to help shape how we use the platform here at Yorkshire Housing.

It's a brilliant time to join us, as we're about to embark on a significant transformation journey with the implementation of Workday - a project that will change the way we manage our finances and support our teams across the business.

In this role, Workday will be your primary focus-you'll oversee the transition of new modules, integrations, and enhancements into day-to-day operations, ensuring the platform runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. You'll also act as a Workday champion, providing end user support across the business and within your team to build internal capability and confidence in using the platform.

But your impact won't stop there. While Workday will be at the heart of your role, you'll also support a small portfolio of other business systems, helping to maintain a stable and effective technology environment across the wider business landscape.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go-so if you want to work for a company that's truly flexible and where you're genuinely valued, this could be the role for you!

What we're all about

You can probably already tell that we're not your typical housing provider! With around 20,000 homes (and more in the pipeline), we're on track with our growth plan to build 8,000 new homes across Yorkshire.

We're dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences and are on a mission to build a culture that prioritises excellence, innovation, and customer obsession.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the transition of new Workday Financial Management modules, integrations, and enhancements into support.
  • Ensuring the Workday platform runs smoothly-maintaining performance, data integrity, and compliance-while delivering updates, fixes, and financial process improvements in a structured, well-controlled way.
  • Working with Workday and third-party vendors to manage systems under your care.
  • Supporting the operational environment and change portfolio, ensuring seamless transitions from project to support.
  • Supporting, coaching, and training colleagues on Workday best practices and functionality.
  • Collaborating with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver a great Workday experience that supports accurate reporting and efficient processes.

This is a primarily home-based position, but you'll need to travel to our Leeds office occasionally for team collaboration, training, and meetings. Initial onboarding will be in person, after which you can enjoy flexible working arrangements.

What you'll bring to the role

We're looking for someone who's technically skilled, collaborative, organized, and eager to make a difference. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Relevant Workday technical certification (Finance)
  • Experience supporting Workday Financial Management
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and assurance in a complex change environment
  • Experience in BAU operations, including system administration and support, especially transitioning from project to support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in testing, including creating test plans
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities
  • Experience delivering 2nd and 3rd line support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

What's in it for you

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £44,140.58 per annum, 35 hours per week, 26 days annual leave (rising to 31), plus Bank Holidays.

We provide a benefits package including health and wellbeing support, retail discounts, pension scheme with up to 9% employer contributions, and access to wellbeing resources such as fitness classes, My GP service, and free counselling.
