Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Application Support Officer for our client a local government organisation in Chester.
The successful candidate will support an essential team responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of the organisation's ERP system as part of a Transactional Shared Service.
The role has a focus on system administration, monitoring performance, maintaining system stability and working through support calls and service requests.
This role is a 2 month initial contract with the possibility to extend.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Responsible for ensuring the effective operational support and development of the Unit4 ERP system on behalf of the organisations.
- Manage service requests, escalating system defects and service requests with the 3rd party support contract.
- Provide frontline support of the Unit4 and linked systems including troubleshooting system problems, providing resolution.
- Processing service requests, access/security administration, UAT, and supporting system upgrades.
- Day to day responsibility for monitoring the system performance, support/defect calls and service requests.
- Undertake system administration duties for the Unit4 application.
Personal Requirements:
- Must also have a history of working in system administration providing support for system defects and providing front line support.
- Experience and knowledge of transactional, finance and/or payroll processes is desirable as well as experience of investigating and troubleshooting system errors.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way.
- A pro-active and positive attitude with the ability to manage pressure effectively within a fast-paced environment is key.
- Functional configuration background ideally relating to Unit4 but other similar roles and experience would be desirable.
- Knowledge of the Unit4 application would be desirable as would experience in a similar system or position.
Working Hours: 37hrs/9:00am - 17:00pm/Monday to Friday
Pay: £22.85 per hr
