Application Support Lead - Leeds (Hybrid 1-2 Days a Week) - Circa £70,000
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Application Support Lead to join one of the UK's largest and most innovative technology companies. This is a key leadership role where you'll head up a squad, provide day-to-day coaching, and oversee the professional growth of your team. You'll work closely with team members through regular 1:1s, collaborative development plans, and continuous performance feedback.
You'll work across a modern tech stack, playing a critical role in supporting best-in-class applications for one of the UK's leading tech firms
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Respond to and help resolve incidents affecting production environments.
- Contribute to incident triage, lead or participate in post-incident reviews, and document outcomes and lessons learned.
- Monitor systems proactively to detect and address potential issues before they impact production.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions using the internal ticketing system.
- Develop and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managing recurring problems.
- Provide guidance and share knowledge to support the development of team members.
- Be part of the team's on-call support rotation for critical systems.
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining large-scale, distributed applications and services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues using logs, metrics, and system traces.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Skilled in configuring and tuning alerting mechanisms to ensure actionable and relevant notifications.
- Proficient in executing and creating automation scripts or runbooks for issue remediation and diagnostics.
Salary & Benefits:
- Circa £70,000 basic salary
