Job Description

Application Support Engineer - Trading - £100K+


Our client is a growing trading firm.


They build innovative, in-house, software for low latency, algo trading across energy and commodity markets and are growing their Application Support and Support Engineering team.


In a varied role you'll be involved in trader and quant-facing support across the business, supporting complex, sophisticated, trading applications.


You'll worked closely with development and DevOps teams to build and implement improvements, manage new code deployments and drive automation.


This role will require weekend on-call work.


Requirements:


  • Experience in a similar Application Support / Support Engineering position
  • Excellent Java coding skills and knowledge
  • Proven experience of supporting and improving complex applications
  • Strong academic background
  • Good DevOps and Cloud knowledge is ideal
  • SQL knowledge
  • Good Infrastructure (Linux, Windows networking) understanding
  • Experience of monitoring and automation
