App Transformation Subject Matter Expert (SME)

My client is a leading entertainment and technology Powerhouse undergoing an exciting digital transformation. They're seeking an experienced App Transformation SME to shape the strategic direction, maturity, and performance of a high-impact, customer-facing mobile app used by millions.

This is a rare opportunity to influence at senior levels, elevate app capability across teams, and drive innovation that delivers outstanding customer and commercial outcomes.

About the Role

You will:

  • Define and execute a long-term strategy for the core customer mobile app, aligned to business goals and customer needs.
  • Integrate industry trends and innovation to ensure the app remains modern, cohesive, and competitive.
  • Shape App Epics & Capabilities to drive a unified, seamless user experience.
  • Partner with Product leadership to prioritise and sequence high-impact initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain an app horizontal' across Agile Release Trains for consistent alignment.
  • Drive app KPIs, performance targets, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Lead operating rhythms across Product, Design, CX, Technology, and Strategy teams.
  • Coach teams, identify skill gaps, and support capability building.
  • Represent the app in senior stakeholder conversations.
  • Champion a strong internal app culture and cross-team collaboration.

Skills & Experience

  • Strategic mindset with proven experience delivering mobile app vision and platform strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of app UX/UI, performance frameworks, iOS/Android capabilities and release models.
  • Senior product leadership experience within Agile/SAFe or similar scaled environments.
  • Strong stakeholder influence skills within complex Matrix organisations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and cross-functional alignment.
  • Proven accountability for customer outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Data-literate, comfortable defining and acting on KPIs.
  • Passion for customer experience and platform-led thinking.
  • Background in media, telecoms or customer experience-led sectors is an advantage.
