Job Description
ASB Response Officer
- Annual Salary: £32,597
- Location: Norwich (covering Norwich area)
- Job Type: Temporary
We are seeking an ASB Response Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for investigating reports of antisocial behaviour within the Norwich area and progressing appropriate responses in line with council policies and procedures. The position is subject to a DBS check.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Investigate reports of anti-social behaviour and manage a personal caseload using a risk-based approach.
- Undertake a case management approach to ASB investigations, directed by the national ASB risk management matrix.
- Liaise with the police, partner agencies, and council departments to resolve ASB and hate crime cases effectively.
- Regularly participate in team tasking meetings and attend Norwich Early Help Hub sessions to coordinate responses.
- Support vulnerable customers, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and access to appropriate services.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency operational meetings and case conferences as directed by the line manager.
- Maintain accurate case records to required standards, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, equality, and health & safety policies.
- Manage expectations of customers and partners, providing clear communication and promoting safe and fair outcomes.
- Support the ASB Enforcement Officer with court preparation and represent cases in partnership forums.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven ASB Case Management experience.
- Good knowledge of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage partner and customer expectations effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in liaising with multiple agencies to resolve complex cases.
- Commitment to upholding the council's policies and the legal framework surrounding ASB and hate crime.
