Job Description
Allocation and Application Officer 
Permanent - Working 36.5 hours per week.
Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434. Living Wage Employer.
Hybrid basis - Full time (36.5 hours) and part time (21.9 hours) vacancies.
Responsibilities- Administer BCC's Housing Allocation Scheme and housing registration.
- Investigate and assess housing applications, contact customers by telephone or letter and visit customers to assist with their housing application.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both internal and external.
- Use various IT systems to input, interrogate, extract and maintain records.
- Work flexibly as part of a team and with both the Allocations and Application housing service.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade.
- Experience in housing advice services and frontline customer service.
- Experience dealing with the public face to face and by phone.
- Good written and verbal English.
- DBS check required.
- Proof of right to work in the UK required.

- Access to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background check.
