Job Description
Allocation and Application Officer

Permanent - Working 36.5 hours per week.

Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434. Living Wage Employer.

Hybrid basis - Full time (36.5 hours) and part time (21.9 hours) vacancies.

Responsibilities
  • Administer BCC's Housing Allocation Scheme and housing registration.
  • Investigate and assess housing applications, contact customers by telephone or letter and visit customers to assist with their housing application.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both internal and external.
  • Use various IT systems to input, interrogate, extract and maintain records.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team and with both the Allocations and Application housing service.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade.
Qualifications
  • Experience in housing advice services and frontline customer service.
  • Experience dealing with the public face to face and by phone.
  • Good written and verbal English.
  • DBS check required.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK required.
