Job Description
Air Conditioning Engineer 
Location: Newcastle, Felling
Hours: 08:00-17:00 (site may operate out of hours)
Call Out: 1 in 6 (£150 retainer)
Seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a large, multi-building site. You'll work with a range of HVAC and ventilation systems (including some older kit), ensuring reliability, compliance, and high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance on AC and ventilation systems (AHUs, FCUs, splits).
- Diagnose and repair faults, carry out filter changes, and complete system checks.
- Maintain accurate documentation via CMMS/BMS and adhere to permit-to-work systems.
- Supervise or assist contractors, ensuring safe and compliant work practices.
- Support minor installation or upgrade works when required.
- Maintain a strong client-facing presence, meeting strict SLA and KPI targets.
- Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Good understanding of ventilation systems and PPM processes
- Competent with paperwork and maintenance systems
- Health & Safety awareness (IOSH preferred)
- BMS experience and water hygiene knowledge desirable
