AI Solution Architect
Contract Length: 6 months (Initial)
Location: Remote (with travel to Dublin required)
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Solution Architect to lead the design of scalable, secure, and reusable technology solutions during the early stages of the software development life cycle. Working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders, you'll shape innovative architectures that align with enterprise standards and modern delivery practices.

Following project approval, you will join the Pod Leadership team to guide solution implementation using agile methodologies, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to bring your vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business and technical needs into robust architectural designs.
  • Lead solution design with a focus on reuse, security, agility, and modernisation.
  • Support platform transformation, Legacy remediation, and component reuse.
  • Ensure architecture supports agility, resilience, and evolving requirements.
  • Guide implementation with light-touch oversight from infrastructure setup through delivery.
  • Contribute to estimation and technical governance processes.
  • Promote automation, DevSecOps, and a shift-left mindset in solution delivery.
  • Champion new technologies and share insights within the tech community.

AI Competency Areas

  • AI Strategy & Evolution: Identify business opportunities through AI advancement.
  • AI Governance: Ensure compliance, ethics, privacy (eg, GDPR), and bias mitigation.
  • Generative AI & LLMs: Experience with GPT, Gemini, prompt engineering, RAG, NLP, and computer vision.
  • AI-Augmented Development: Use tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance development workflows.
  • Autonomous Systems: Design intelligent, agent-based systems for automation.
  • Cloud AI/ML Services: Build and deploy AI/ML solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • ML/DL Fundamentals: Apply data-driven design to improve business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and stay current with emerging AI tools.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in solution architecture using:
    • MEAN stack, .NET Core, Python, or similar Middleware.
    • Authentication/SSO: OAuth, SAML, MFA.
    • Cloud-native tools: Kubernetes, containers, microservices.
    • Secure DevOps & Secure by Design principles.
    • Big Data, Data Lakes, BI tools.
    • APM tools and performance monitoring techniques.
    • Agile methodologies and documentation standards (C4, UML, ArchiMate).
