Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity available with a sector-leading financial services client! They are currently looking for a skilled AI Engineer/ML Developer to join their team for an initial contract until the end of November.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The Onboarding and Know Your Customer Value Stream focuses on onboarding products, platforms, and delivery capabilities suited to client-aligned agile delivery. The company is investing heavily in these areas with a strategic focus on increasing AI capabilities via flagship AI journeys, engineering, and ways of working. To accelerate this vision, they seek an experienced AI Engineer to join the Client Services and OBKYC Technology group.

1. Build production-ready models for content extraction and classification from images and text sources.
2. Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and design solutions iteratively.
3. Work closely with product managers and technical teams.
4. Create, test, and iterate on new and existing products and features.
5. Design and develop Python/ML/OCR components.
6. Support the full product lifecycle, including deployment, testing, and production support.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Strong experience in Document AI/Intelligent document processing using traditional models and Generative AI, especially with open-source models for business outcomes.
2. Experience deploying Python-based solutions in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, generative AI, image processing, and OCR.
3. Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch, Hugging Face, Spacy, OpenCV, Regex, or equivalents.
4. Experience in delivering secure, resilient code to production, emphasizing cybersecurity.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Additional skills that are a plus include:

1. Experience with PostgreSQL for data management.
2. Proficiency with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure CLI, AKS, and Azure DevOps.
3. Experience working in high-cadence team environments delivering to production.
