Job Description
AI Engineer
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: Sheffield (2 days on site per week)
Pay: Inside IR35, up to £515 /day
Key Responsibilities:- Design functional processes, flows, and support procedures
- Lead prototyping, testing, and training phases
- Conduct AI assessments and propose optimised solutions
- Develop classification algorithms and prepare datasets
- Work with image processing, text extraction, clustering, embedding models
- Implement drift detection, model monitoring (AgentEvals experience a plus)
- Document architecture and insights across projects
- Proven experience developing Chat Bots using: Python, PyCharm, NumPy, Pandas
- ML, deep learning, NLP, TensorFlow
- SQL/NoSQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), RDBMS design
- GitHub, Jenkins, data modelling/wrangling
- Experience in supervised/unsupervised learning, classification algorithms
- Hands-on with model training, drift detection, and feature generation
- Background in Computer Vision, PII extraction, pattern/form recognition
- Agile methodologies and DevOps familiarity
- Knowledge of application/data security and microservices
- Strong communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years in data science/ML solution delivery
