Based at a leading land-based college in Northamptonshire

An established and highly regarded land-based college in Northamptonshire is seeking an Agriculture Lecturer to join its forward-thinking team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional from either education or industry to play a key role in shaping the next generation of agricultural talent.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and training across a range of agricultural courses, supporting students and other client groups to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and training students to the college's high academic and vocational standards
  • Tutoring and managing one or more groups of learners
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of agricultural courses
  • Participating in internal verification, auditing, and quality assurance processes
  • Ensuring an outstanding learner experience across all interactions
What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from both experienced lecturers and skilled industry professionals looking to transition into teaching.

Qualifications
  • Strong, practical knowledge of agriculture, including arable, livestock, and farm machinery
  • A qualification at HNC level (or equivalent vocational experience within agriculture)
  • A genuine passion for the farming industry and awareness of current sector developments
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
Desirable (but not essential)
  • NPTC Tractor Proficiency
  • PA Certificates
  • Telehandler operation certification
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning / Cert Ed)
