Job Description

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Team Manager to join our forward-thinking and innovative Regional Adoption Agency, Adopt South, and play a vital role in shaping the future for children and families across the region. At Adopt South, we're committed to making decisions that are child-focused, evidence-informed, and informed by best practice. Our teams work collaboratively to continually improve the services we offer, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, loving, and permanent family.

What you'll do:

As Agency/Panel Advisor, you'll lead the team responsible for the smooth coordination and delivery of our adoption panels. You'll also take on the critical role of Agency Advisor, providing expert oversight and guidance to ensure panels are well-prepared, compliant, and effective.

You'll also:

  • Use your professional insight to influence outcomes for children, carers, and families
  • Support and guide panel members and chairs to ensure high standards and consistency
  • Gather and act on feedback to help shape and improve our services
  • Bring proven leadership experience and a collaborative, solution-focused approach

What we're looking for:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with substantial post-qualifying experience in children's social work, particularly in adoption and permanence. You'll bring strong assessment skills, a deep understanding of the needs of children and families, and the ability to work confidently across multi-agency settings.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a sound understanding of child protection legislation, and a genuine drive for personal and professional development. Above all, you will be determined to make a difference for both the service and the children who need it.
