Agency Senior Practitioner - Mental Health - City of Westminster Council

City of Westminster Council is seeking an interim Senior Practitioner for its Mental Health team.

The role will last 3 months initially.

Paid at £36 per hour (umbrella).

The role will involve the following:

• Senior Practitioner
• Adult Social Care - Mental Health
• The South Locality Social Care Team is a busy Adult Mental Health Social Care service based in Victoria.
• We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner Social Worker to provide leadership, professional oversight, and high-quality practice support within the team.
• This is a key role suited to a confident and experienced senior social worker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellent practice.
• Provide leadership and professional guidance to social workers within the team Promote and embed high-quality social work practice
• Undertake the Duty Senior role as required
• Act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager
• Provide regular supervision and oversight of complex cases
• Manage risk and support complex decision-making in line with legislation

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• Significant post-qualifying experience, ideally at Senior Practitioner level or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Court of Protection
• Proven experience managing safeguarding enquiries and complex cases
• Confidence in risk assessment and complex decision-making
