Job Description

A growing engineering and manufacturing business in Malton is looking to appoint an Aftersales & Customer Service Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a newly created opportunity designed to strengthen the business's aftersales and customer support function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical or machinery background who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes, and building strong customer relationships within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role offers a salary of £40,000 to £45,000, working 40 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times, alongside genuine long-term progression.

Some of the Aftersales & Customer Service Manager responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the key point of contact for aftersales support, technical queries, spare parts enquiries, workshop repairs, and warranty matters
  • Providing first-line technical troubleshooting support to customers, dealers, and operators
  • Managing incoming customer calls and emails, diagnosing issues, and coordinating solutions through to resolution
  • Handling spare parts enquiries, quotations, ordering, and identifying opportunities to grow aftersales revenue
  • Managing warranty claims from initial breakdown through to repair, replacement, and resolution
  • Liaising with workshop teams, suppliers, service partners, and internal departments to ensure an efficient customer journey
  • Coordinating repair activity, customer communication, and maintaining high service standards
  • Conducting proactive aftersales follow-up calls to strengthen customer relationships and improve satisfaction
  • Supporting improvements to service systems, processes, technical documentation, and product information
  • Monitoring recurring issues and helping drive operational improvements across the aftersales function
  • Supporting the longer-term development of the service department, including future coordination of engineers

We would be keen to speak with Aftersales Managers, Service Managers, Technical Support Managers, Parts Managers, Warranty Managers, Service Coordinators, or candidates with similar experience within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.

The successful individual will be technically minded, organised, commercially aware, and comfortable speaking directly with customers, operators, engineers, and wider stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business where you can genuinely shape a growing function, improve customer experience, and make a visible impact.
