Job Title: AEM Developer

Job Description

As an AEM Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Your role will involve working with a variety of web technologies to create responsive and interactive user interfaces, while also ensuring seamless integration with external systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Implement responsive designs using frameworks such as Bootstrap and Tailwind.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility in line with WCAG standards.
  • Utilise AJAX and Fetch API for dynamic content loading.
  • Work with AEM Components (HTL/Sightly), Templates, and Editable Templates.
  • Manage CSS/JS in AEM using ClientLibs and create AEM Dialogs for component configuration.
  • Use HTL Expressions and the Use-API for efficient component development.
  • Integrate React, Angular, or Vue for Single Page Applications in AEM.
  • Implement Headless AEM solutions using GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Utilise version control tools such as Git and build tools like Webpack and Gulp.
  • Develop custom AEM components, OSGi services, and Sling Models.
  • Configure and manage Servlets, filters, workflows, and launchers within AEM.
  • Set up replication agents and publishing workflows, and configure caching and load balancing.
  • Develop REST and GraphQL APIs and integrate with external systems like CRM and DAM.
  • Implement authentication and SSO solutions using OAuth and SAML.
  • Utilise Maven for build automation and manage AEM deployments on Cloud, AMS, or On-Prem.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Perform performance tuning and caching to enhance application efficiency.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind.
  • Strong understanding of AEM Components, Templates, and ClientLibs.
  • Knowledge of HTL/Sightly and Use-API in AEM.
  • Familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue for SPA development.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and build tools (Webpack, Gulp).
  • Understanding of the OSGi and Sling Frameworks in AEM.
  • Ability to develop custom AEM components and manage workflows.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, and external system integrations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Headless AEM solutions.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols like OAuth and SAML.
  • Experience with Maven and AEM deployment on various platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline setups.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and basic SEO optimisation.
