What will you be doing?As an Advice Centre Administration Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for students interacting with the Advice Centre and the Students' Union over email and in person.
- Support the Advice Centre by referring queries to the right people, signposting, and providing information to students across a range of issues.
- Be the first point of contact for students attending appointments and emailing the Advice Centre.
- Work with the Advice team to ensure students receive prompt and appropriate support.
- Support with administrative tasks such as organising appointments, managing inboxes, and case recording.
All our student staff will receive training to enable them to fulfil the role. Students applying must be currently enrolled on a course at the University of Salford or have accepted an offer to study at the University of Salford from September 2026. This is a paid role. Student Staff are required to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week.

- have good communication and listening skills (written and verbal)
- have great organisational and time management skills
- can interact with students on difficult topics or issues

- are interested in the role and want to learn!
