About the role:

Are you a highly skilled, adaptable professional with the emotional resilience to thrive in a fast-paced Alternative Provision? Join us as an Advanced Teaching Assistant, a role that is as challenging as it is profoundly rewarding. You will be a cornerstone of our classroom, delivering targeted interventions and high-quality learning activities to students who have often found mainstream education a barrier, including those with SEND/Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. In this role, you aren't just supporting academics; you are building trusted relationships and providing the consistency our students need to re-engage with their learning.

Welcome from the Principal:

Thank you for your interest in the vacancy at Outwood Alternative Provision Eston.

We are a unique centre providing a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable students who exhibit challenging behaviours and are at risk of exclusion. Our dedicated staff is passionate about providing bespoke, additional support to ensure behavioural, social, emotional, or mental health challenges are never a barrier to success.

With smaller class sizes and an adapted curriculum, we prioritise personal development and student well-being without compromising academic progress. We hold unconditional positive regard for our students, considering strong professional relationships as our first intervention. Our goal is to ensure all students succeed and transition to their next stage with confidence and self-belief.

If you believe every student deserves a champion and share The Outwood vision of raising standards and transforming lives, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team.
