Advanced Social Work Practitioner (EHASH) Casual

Service area: CYP Support and Safeguarding

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children's Emergency Duty Team (CEDT) as a casual sessional Advanced Social Work Practitioner. This role involves providing vital support to vulnerable children and their families outside of normal office hours, responding to emergency social care situations out of hours. The CEDT plays a critical role in ensuring the immediate protection and safeguarding of children and young people who have experienced or are at risk of harm and providing support to families in crisis.

We are seeking experienced and qualified social workers who are registered with Social Work England and currently working at, or have experience of working at, an Advanced Practitioner level. A strong understanding of childcare legislation is essential, along with a proactive, reflective, and collaborative approach to practice.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Social Work
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience at Advanced Social Work Practitioner level
  • In-depth knowledge of childcare legislation and statutory guidance
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
