Advanced Practitioner Sonographer

We are seeking a motivated Sonographer with recent relevant experience to join a highly skilled team at Royal Preston Hospital in the ultrasound department. Rotation to other local sites may be required.
Position: Sonographer, Grade Band 7, Permanent. Salary: £49,387 - £56,515 per annum, pro rata. Hours: 37.5 per week (full time, part time, or flexible working patterns as appropriate). Closing date: 23/06/:59. Site: Royal Preston Hospital, Town Preston.
Main Duties- Actively participate in both the theoretical and practical ultrasound training for postgraduate diplomas/certificates and any other required training.
- Undertake case presentations.
- Offer support and supervision to other sonographers and delegated medical staff.
- Assist authorized medical staff in ultrasound examinations when required.
- Participate in the training and mentoring of student radiographers.
- Engage in departmental CPD through attendance at talks, lectures, and training sessions.
- Participate in appraisal processes, formulate a personal development plan, and, when required, perform appraisals for more junior staff.
- Undertake duties related to in house cascade training for mandatory training requirements.
- Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Medical Ultrasound.
- Mandatory professional registration (e.g., HCPC/NMC).
- Ability and experience to report on ultrasound examinations.
- Experience working with patients in an acute healthcare setting.
- Recent and relevant professional CPD, supported by a CPD portfolio.
- Wide range of recent and relevant ultrasound experience.
- Experience in quality assurance.
- Experience in other imaging modalities.
- Experience in the FASP screening pathway.
