A highly regarded and forward-thinking GP practice in Basingstoke is seeking a committed, clinically confident Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join its expanding multidisciplinary team for 4 or more sessions per week. The practice is known for its collaborative culture, patient-centred approach, and strong leadership-creating an environment where advanced practitioners can develop, contribute, and genuinely enjoy their work.

As an established training practice, the surgery provides a rich educational environment, supporting the development not only of doctors in training but of the wider clinical team. This position is well suited to both experienced ANPs looking for a new challenge in a progressive setting and newly qualified or early-career ANPs seeking structured mentorship and a supportive transition into primary care.

The Practice Environment

  • A diverse MDT including GPs, pharmacists, paramedics, mental health practitioners, nurses and HCAs
  • A forward-looking approach embracing digital tools, innovative care pathways, and quality improvement
  • Strong teaching culture with opportunities to support learners from various professions
  • Leadership that prioritises wellbeing, clinical autonomy, and sustainable workloads
What the Practice Offers
  • Competitive salary aligned to experience and scope of practice
  • Clear support structures, including supervision and regular clinical development sessions
  • Opportunities to expand specialist interests, undertake further training, and contribute to service design
  • Protected CPD time and participation in clinical meetings
  • Robust administrative support to minimise non-clinical workload
  • A genuinely friendly, open and inclusive team culture
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • An experienced or aspiring ANP with MSc/PGDip-level advanced practice credentials (or working towards this)
  • Confident in autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management within primary care
  • A collaborative clinician who values teamwork, communication, and patient-centred practice
  • Enthusiastic about professional development, reflective practice, and contributing to continuous improvement
  • Keen to engage with the practice's teaching culture and support learners when appropriate
