We are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced (Nurse) Practitioner to join our friendly team working in the Same Day Emergency Care Unit. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you will be able to prioritise work with a range of staff and patients from the multidisciplinary wider hospital team.
Main duties of the jobWe can offer you a friendly team to work alongside as we deliver high quality end to end patient interventions. You will be supported to work autonomously in delivering the best care within the emergency care setting and we will encourage you to be involved in your own and other colleagues' development.
Job responsibilities- Deliver patient care within the Same Day Emergency Care setting
- Work autonomously and prioritise patient needs efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across the hospital
- Engage in professional development and share expertise with junior staff
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Master's degree in an appropriate discipline
- Registered medical prescriber (or in the process of becoming one)
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or Professional Trainers Certificate)
- Registered Mentor
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of establishing effective communication
- Evidence of clinical competence and credibility in the speciality and relevant post registration qualification experience, which must be in an appropriate area of specialist practice at a senior level
- Exercise a high degree of autonomy within specialist area
- Evidence of change management experience
- Evidence of teaching junior staff
