Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (APP)
3 to 4 sessions per week (sessional post)
Park Surgery is a forward thinking, patient centred GP practice serving a population of approximately 8,000 patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Paramedic Practitioner to join our supportive multidisciplinary team in a flexible sessional role.
About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative clinical team. You will provide high quality to patients presenting with acute, urgent, and on the day needs, using advanced clinical assessment and decision making skills. You will also contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the practice.
Main duties of the jobKey responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of presentations
- Provide safe, evidence based treatment and prescribing (if qualified)
- Support same day access and triage where appropriate
- Work closely with GPs and the wider MDT to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement

Job descriptionAbout you
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Paramedic (HCPC) with an advanced practice qualification
- Independent prescriber (or willing to work towards it)
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, or a similar setting
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills
- A proactive, team focused approach with a passion for patient care
- Flexible sessional working (3 to 4 sessions per week)

Person Specification Experience- Clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Primary care experience
- Teaching or mentorship experience
- Experience in audit or service improvement
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Paramedic (HCPC)
- Advanced Practice qualification (Level 7 or equivalent)
- Independent Prescriber (or working towards qualification)
