We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without compromising on efficiency and quality.

Hours and salary

Hours: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:00; potential weekend shifts

Salary: This full-time position offers an annual salary up to £64,471 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide expert clinical skills and demonstrate judgment in assessing and managing wide-ranging and complex patient problems. Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team.
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising various registered and non-registered professionals including mental health and substance misuse practitioners.
  • Act as a role model, maintaining professional standards at all times. Support senior clinicians on site and be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients.
  • Work as a clinical expert to ensure patient safety, management of complex cases, and application of the most up-to-date treatment methodologies.

Person specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered professional with current mental health registration (NMC, HCPC)
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent
  • Recognised prescribing qualification
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
