Caritas Recruitment is working in partnership with Bedford Borough Council to recruit two experienced Adult Social Workers for a temporary project-based role within Adult Social Care.
This is a focused, outcome-driven opportunity supporting a council-wide project aimed at increasing independence and reducing reliance on community-based services.
Key Details- Role: Adult Social Worker (Adults - Project Role)
- Client: Bedford Borough Council
- Location: 4th Floor, Borough Hall, Bedford, MK42 9AP
- Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
- Pay Rate: £31.77 per hour
- Positions Available: 2
This role sits within a targeted review project, working across Adult Social Care and Newton, with a clear focus on enablement and strength-based practice. The successful candidates will:
- Complete targeted reviews to assess need and risk
- Critically analyse current care and support arrangements
- Apply strength-based and enablement approaches to promote independence
- Work collaboratively with partners, technology-enabled solutions and community resources
- Support sustainable, long-term outcomes for adults within the community
This position is ideal for a Social Worker who enjoys review work, analytical practice, and project-focused delivery rather than long-term case holding.
Requirements- SWE registration
- Recent experience within Adult Social Care
- Strong understanding of strength-based and enablement models
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver to project timescales
