Job Description
Adult Senior Social Worker - Emergency Duty Team Part Time 
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker who is also an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) as a permanent part time position of 18.5 hours per week.
Job responsibilities- Provide social care response to emergency situations outside normal working hours.
- Deliver urgent Mental Health Act assessments as an AMHP.
- Work as part of the Integrated Front Door serving the local authorities of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
- Operate from the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) at the Police HQ in Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon, but most shifts can be worked from home.
- Work Monday to Thursday 5pm 8am, Friday 4pm 8am until Monday morning 8am, including all bank holidays.
- Cover nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotating rota.
- Receive an out of hours allowance of 18% and an AMHP allowance of £2,962 per annum.
- Be subject to Police vetting and an Enhanced Disclosure check.
- Qualified social worker with a degree level qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum two years of post qualifying experience in social work.
- Current qualification as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to work autonomously in a high pressure environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and multi agency working skills with the ability to travel county wide independently.
- Commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable adults.
