Job Description
Queens Park Group Surgery - Administrator/Secretary

Queens Park Group Surgery is looking to welcome an administrator/secretary to their team. This position can be offered on a full or part time basis and hours/days will be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job
  • Accurately input data into the clinical computer system, including A&E notes, smear results and other patient records.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications and in house clinical systems efficiently.
  • Type correspondence such as letters, reports and referral documents.
  • Enter and manage out of hours service data.
  • Maintain and support computer systems including troubleshooting issues, managing iOS, registrations, path links and data backups.
  • Respond to patient queries in person and via telephone in a professional manner.
  • Handle GP enquiries, referrals and medico legal reports.
  • Liaise with hospitals (private and NHS) regarding appointments and related queries.
  • Input and manage reports relating to registrations, maternity, contraception and minor surgery, including associated claims.
  • Maintain accurate patient registration details and ensure records are up to date.
  • Manage and process patient data for individuals aged 75+.
  • Support the achievement of practice targets, including cervical cytology, immunisations and contraception.
  • Scan and upload relevant documents to patient records.
  • Prepare and photocopy documentation for solicitors, employment reports, insurance purposes and similar requests.
  • Order and maintain stock of health authority and hospital stationery.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing postal services.
  • Apply read coding to correspondence accurately.
  • Administer and process smoking cessation services and associated claims.
  • Attend training courses and meetings as required.
  • Maintain strict clinical confidentiality at all times.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and willingness to learn new software.
