Administrator /Patient Development Team

They are looking for a friendly, proactive person to join our Patient Development Team with:
- Confidence learning new systems quickly (experience with SystmOne is a big plus)
- Great customer service and communication skills, both spoken and written

- Ability to travel between Rothwell and Desborough sites
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in General Practice.
You will learn how a modern GP surgery runs, from front desk support to essential admin work behind the scenes. It's a hands on role with full training, and it's ideal if you want to grow your skills, build confidence, and work in healthcare.
You will be based across both our Rothwell and Desborough sites, so you will need to be comfortable working at each location.
Main duties of the job- Support patients by phone, online, and face to face
- Use clinical systems and digital triage tools to help patients access the right care
- Process clinical letters, referrals, and records, including SNOMED CT coding
- Help with day to day admin and communication across both sites
- Get involved in team projects to improve patient access and working processes
- Greeting patient and visitors in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Answering incoming patient telephone calls and deal with enquiries.
- Book, amend and cancel appointments in line with practice procedures.
- Process requests from patients, clinicians and external agencies.
- Process registrations.
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence including email letters and clinical documents.
- Scan and file documents to patient records, adding clinical coding where necessary.
- Support workflow and document management.
- Assist with referrals, recalls, invitations and appointment administration.
- Manage incoming tasks and action requests within agreed timescales.
- Support the practice with audits, data collection and reporting activities as required.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with GDPR and practice policies.
- Follow practice policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Undertake any reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
- Organised and reliable
- Interpersonal skills to liaise with all practice teams
- Basic IT skills for spreadsheets and record keeping.
- Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system
- Good communication skill and ability to work within a team.
- GP practice or healthcare experience
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection requirements
