About the Role

The Radcliffe Science Library is the University of Oxford's main science library and supports the teaching and learning needs of the University's science community. As part of the Bodleian Libraries, it provides a wide range of services and runs a wellbeing programme featuring events and activities throughout the year.

You will support the Radcliffe Science Library's wellbeing, outreach and engagement activities while backfilling duties of a subject librarian who is leading the Wellbeing Programme. You will promote and document activities across physical and digital channels, provide administrative support for events and other activities, and manage and prioritise your day-to-day workload under the general direction of your line manager.

The role is based on-site at the Radcliffe Science Library because it includes physical activities such as putting up posters, taking photographs, setting up rooms and moving furniture for events. There is flexibility in the working pattern, and the 14.6 weekly hours may be worked over two or three days of the successful candidate's choosing, with the majority of hours worked during business hours.

This is a fixed-term post until 31 July 2027, working part time for 14.6 hours per week.

About You

You will have demonstrable experience of communications activities across print and digital channels, together with excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail. You will bring strong organisational and administrative skills, excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
