Job Description
Administrator - Port of Tyne (South Shields)

Location: Port of Tyne, South Shields (office-based)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrator to join our team based at the Port of Tyne, supporting operations on a key GE site. This is a fast paced, hands on role where you will play a critical part in keeping vessel operations running smoothly, ensuring accurate documentation and supporting day to day coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vessel manifest management:
    • Produce and maintain manifests across multiple vessels
    • Liaise with contractors to gather required information (VISSIM)
    • Coordinate and submit finalised lists to vessels on time
  • Operational coordination:
    • Act as a central point of contact for contractor information
    • Chase outstanding data and ensure accuracy and compliance
  • General administration:
    • Provide day to day administrative support to the site team
    • Maintain organised records and documentation
  • Document control:
    • Ensure documents are up to date, accurate, and properly stored
    • Support compliance requirements across site operations
What We're Looking For
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy environment
  • Confident communicator, comfortable chasing information from stakeholders
  • Previous administration or document control experience preferred
  • Experience working in a site based or operational environment is advantageous
