We are looking for an experienced administrator to join us at Cleckheaton Group Practice. The successful candidate should ideally have SystmOne experience and have worked in a GP practice for a minimum of one year. You will answer thetelephone and liaise with patients mainly over the phone. The main role of theposition is to deal with all of the administrative duties associated withGeneral Practice, including prescriptions, scanning, QOF, GP rotas, and reception work. The hours are quite specific in order to cover the site forall of the hours we are open. If you have worked in general practice or primarycare before that would be useful but it is not essential all of the trainingwill be given.
Main duties of the jobThe following are the coreresponsibilities of the Administrator and Office Clerk. There may be, onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factorssuch as workload and staffing levels as directed by the Practice Manager:
- Carry out administrativeduties associated with working in a busy office environment.
- To use the telephone to callpatients and take inbound calls from patients in the admin office and reception.
- Book, change and cancelappointments for patients in line with current arrangements.
- SystmOne Reporting and Searches
- Deal with things, likeprescription requests, Clinical Rotas, QOF, Recalls, Patient Registrations, Patient Signposting and carryingout duties as requested by the Practice Manager and Partners.
- Always maintain a clean, tidy effective working area
- Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
- To work with other teammembers and support the practice operationally. This may included things likescanning, coding, referrals and general office duties.

The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
