Position: School Administrator
Location: Orchard school- Lufton, Yeovil
Hours: 24 hours per week, term time
Salary Details: £13,604.79 per annum
We are now recruiting for a Administrator to join our team. This role calls for first class interpersonal and IT skills as you will be dealing with staff and students, along with external stakeholders and parents.
The school:
Orchard School is an independent, DfE registered co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 20 student s, aged 11 - 18 years.
The school supports young people who have suffered trauma enabling them to realise their potential and through personalised support, achieve their goals. Our vision is that students will not only be supported academically but be supported to develop self-esteem, confidence, respect and consideration for others, to enable them to become effective and contributing citizens within the community.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front of office representative or similar role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Experience of using a range of office IT packages e.g. Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Key duties:
- To maintain and foster good relations with staff, young people, members of the public and professionals from other agencies.
- To carry out a range of confidential administrative functions under the direction of the Head Teacher.
- To oversee good health & safety and security of the reception, offices and buildings.
- To provide all aspects of administration support as required.
- To manage visitors and handle calls within the site.
