Job Description
Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Administrator to join our team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in Southeast London. This role offers a lot of variety, where no 2 days are ever the same - you will be the first point of contact for healthcare! The prison houses around 750 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, you'll play an integral part in providing exceptional care for our patients.

Hours: This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £29,837 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide excellent admin support to the healthcare team onsite, acting as the first point of contact
  • Work on the healthcare system (SystmOne) - inputting patient information and referrals, ensuring records are accurate and running reports
  • Deal with healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone, face to face and via email, delivering a high level service at all times
  • Attend meetings and take minutes as necessary

Our new Administrator will have:
  • Extensive experience within an admin based role - using internal systems, responding to emails, answering phone calls etc
  • Any experience in a healthcare setting would be highly beneficial, as would using SystmOne or EMIS
  • Experience updating records, ideally patient records, within a system
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English is essential
