Job Overview:
As an Administrator 1, you will support the SWAP Centre, a fast-paced environment that manages a wide range of customer builds across the full SWAP build and repair life cycle. This role has been introduced to provide day-to-day operational support to the SWAP function. Your responsibilities will include managing assets entering and leaving the workshop, carrying out regular audits to ensure all assets are accurately accounted for, and maintaining clear asset tracking and traceability. You will liaise closely with internal teams, building strong working relationships, and proactively escalate any issues to the Supervisor that may impact customer delivery.
Location: Hatfield AL10 9TW
Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £12.60 (PAYE) OR £16.35 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
Length: up to 30-Oct-2026
Work Schedule: 08:30 to 16:30 OR 09:00 to 17:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all assets entering the workshop and liaising with relevant distribution teams to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure accurate, reliable, and up-to-date asset tracking.
- Collaborating with the Service Centre to obtain customer account approval for asset repairs.
- Ordering the correct parts required for engineers to repair assets to customer-defined standards.
- Managing and distributing repair parts delivered to the workshop, ensuring correct pairing and timely repair of assets.
- Maintaining records and producing manifests for used, DOA, and unused parts to ensure correct routing and minimise delays.
- Logging, re-logging, and reopening live calls to coordinate with external departments or third-party suppliers when parts or specialist work are required.
- Performing general housekeeping duties to identify and eliminate causes of backlogs, ensuring a smooth and continuous service to customers.
- Participating in asset and stock management sessions to maintain operational flow and prevent asset misplacement.
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks requiring prompt investigation and resolution.
- Maintaining an accurate and functional location system to support precise asset management.
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of 6S standards within the workshop.
