Administrator - HMP Chelmsford

As an Administrator at HMP Chelmsford in the HCRG Care Group you will receive a salary of £26,118.40 per annum, group pension, free tea, coffee and milk, membership to My Reward Hub, early wage access, mental and physical wellbeing support, eLearning, and a culture encouraging innovation.
Main responsibilities- Manage internal clinics, booking appointments and liaising with clinicians.
- Book external hospital appointments for patients referred to secondary care.
- Request and obtain medical information from patients and community GPs, ensuring timely acquisition.
- Provide medical records in compliance with GDPR.
- Receive and code safeguarding information/requests and record action with deadlines.
- Monitor phone lines and respond to queries.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings, send invitations, track responses and take minutes.
- Order and maintain equipment/supplies.
- Collate basic information in response to requests.
Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5:30 pm (40 hours per week). Parking is not available on site; nearby car parks are within walking distance.
Ideal Candidate- Excellent numeracy and literacy
- Competent IT skills - Word, Outlook, Excel
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and telephone skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload
- Effective time management and initiative
- Experience working in healthcare (desirable) and using SystemOne (desirable)
