Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of health promotion/education and public health school age immunisation programmes.
- Attend community based vaccination sessions in both schools and local settings, working with the nursing team to ensure productive and safe sessions.
- Promote and facilitate collaborative working between the team, schools, other educational institutions and families in the delivery of the immunisation programmes; ensure all consent forms are returned and new ideas help achieve local area targets.
- Ensure the processes for storing, transporting, collecting and delivering vaccinations to sites are adhered to.
- Assist in identifying home schooled children and those in Pupil Referral Units.
- Maintain databases to keep records up to date and prepare documents for school visits; triage and complete online consent systems ahead of vaccination sessions.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for School Immunisation (SOPs).
- Serve as the first point of contact for all administrative tasks; communicate via face to face, phone and email with children, parents and school staff.
- Maintain the cold chain, order and arrange transport of vaccinations to sites.
- Actively and constructively contribute to team meetings.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- GCSE level of education or equivalent with a minimum of grade C in both English and Maths.
- Experience working in a community setting (schools) and/or with children & young people (desirable).
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload without supervision.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
