Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Diabetes & Endocrinology Department, working across all sites. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Sites: Royal Gwent Hospital, Nevill Hall Hospital, Grange University Hospital, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr (RGH, NNH, GUH, YYF).

Main duties of the job
  • Provide administrative support to the Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Healthcare Support workers within the diabetes service.
  • Use Myrddin & CWS systems and other administrative systems to manage records and appointments.
  • Support cross site coordination and communication for the diabetes service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Healthcare Support workers.
  • Manage administrative systems, including Myrddin & CWS.
  • Coordinate schedules and communication across the diabetes service sites.
Person Specification
  • Experience in a Health Service environment.
  • Attributes - strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge - familiarity with diabetes care processes and NHS administrative systems.

£26,813 to £27,890 a year, pro rata.
