Administrative Officer

£12.86 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Temporary, Full-Time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday), Bradford

What you'll be doing

As an Administrative Officer, you will be essential in supporting the day-to-day operations of courts and tribunals. Your role will involve a variety of administrative tasks to ensure cases progress seamlessly and clients receive excellent service.

  • Preparing and managing case files, documents, and court papers
  • Assisting with court and tribunal hearings, including clerking and administrative support
  • Handling face to face, telephone, and written enquiries
  • Drafting correspondence, notes, reports, and standard communications
  • Booking rooms, organising meetings, and preparing related materials
  • Processing casework, legal documents, and financial records accurately
  • Scheduling hearings, issuing legal notices, and processing warrants
  • Contributing to team meetings and improvement initiatives
You may also assist in clerking the courtroom, which involves
  • Supporting the judge and managing courtroom proceedings to ensure smooth operation
  • Communicating updates and acting as a liaison between jury and judge
  • Speaking aloud in court and managing evidence presentation
  • Preparing case papers to ensure the judge is fully briefed
